Tequila Schizandra Cocktail
with Grapefruit + Ginger
Posted on December 31, 2017 | adaptogenic, cocktail

You already know my love for adaptogenic herbs. I’ve actually been adding them to my cocktails recently! Alcohol is a stressor on the body, but balance in life is so key. So why not add some liver supporting and stress busting herbs directly to your cocktail?!

Schizandra is known as the 5 flavour berry. It’s not the typical type of berry that you would snack on or add to a smoothie. It’s best consumed in tea or tincture form. You can find it in the form of whole dried berries or as a powder. It has some amazing adaptogenic properties. It increases energy and cognitive performance, enhances liver detoxification, and is known to boost libido!

This is a tea based drink, which makes it great to prepare ahead of time!
